Task 2.4: Definition of minimum capacity levels (UPAV)
In this task we have been to investigating the minimum levels of displacement capacity that buildings will have, regardless of the level of seismic action used in the design, due to capacity design principles and minimum reinforcement detailing requirements. Once the SHARE hazard output is available, we will be able to see the areas of Europe where the levels of spectral displacement are below these displacement capacity thresholds, and thus where further detailed subdivision of the hazard would appear to be unnecessary, from a code drafting point of view.
Deliverable 2.4 will be submitted in the summer of 2011.
