Within the context of SHARE it is necessary to define the seismic input engineering needs for current and future generations of seismic design codes in Europe.
The results and work presented in this Special Session may influence the development of the homogeneous hazard model for Europe that is the scope of SHARE, thus assisting in the improved and harmonised definition of the Nationally Determined Parameters within the National Annexes and furthermore, making recommendations for future revisions of Eurocode 8.
Thursday 2 September 14:00 - 16:00 in the Hotel Granit
Programme (presenting author in bold)
- Introduction to the Special Session - Rui Pinho
- Setting the Stage for Harmonized Risk Assessment by Seismic Hazard Harmonization in Europe (SHARE) - Jochen Woessner, Domenico Giardini
- Toward a unified PSHA input data model and code for harmonized hazard assessment - Marco Pagani, Laurentiu Danciu, Damiano Monelli, Jochen Woessner, Stefan Wiemer, Ned Field
- Hazard output requirements of SHARE, jointly approved with EC8 Committee - Alfredo Campos Costa, Ema Coelho, Alexandra Carvalho, Helen Crowley, Rui Pinho, Graeme Weatherill
- Review and Critical Assessment of Seismic Input in Current Design Codes - Graeme Weatherill, Helen Crowley, Rui Pinho
- Hazard, ground motions and codeābased structural assessment - Iunio Iervolino
- Discussion

Session Announcement - 33rd General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission, Moscow, Agust 2012: SHARE together with other regional programs of GEM have suggested a session "SHR-1: Recent Developments in Probabilistic Seismic Hazard and Seismik Risk Assessment: Applications, Improvements, Shortcomings and Perspectives". Looking forward to your contributions! Abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2012.
